Table Mountain

So, after spending a morning on Robben Island, we rewarded ourselves with a glass of cool white wine in a quay side restaurant next to the yacht marina. It's a tough life.

We also spent some of our hard earned Rand on a jewelled lions head. It is much better than the description, but you will just have to wait to see that in the flat!

Next stop, after being continuously in its shadow during both of our stays in Cape Town, was Table Mountain.

You go up to about 1600 metres (courtesy of cable car) and the views of Cape Town, Camps Bay and the Indian Ocean from the top are out of this world.

We pottered around for a while at the top, which is of course strangely flat as the name suggests - and we made sure we were appropriately hydrated for the heat at the mountain-top cafe.

Meanwhile, Clare also did her best David Bailey impression and photographed everything.

She even photographed other people taking photos.

But as the views were so good, Rich was very patient and indulged her obsession.

An incredible sunset on the beach right next to where we are staying (it got even better after this pic but those photos are on the other camera).

And as everyone knows, you can't watch a sunset without some sundowners...another tough day in paradise!
